It was the pair of Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood that put Pakistan in trouble up front. Hazlewood finished with figures of 4/35 while Starc 2/40. Maxwell also picked two wickets while Mitchell Johnson and James Faulkner chipped in with a wicket each.

Pakistan had their moments with Wahab Riaz dismissing David Warner and Michael Clarke in quick succession, but Rahat Ali dropped an easy catch of Shane Watson and that let go the pressure fast bowler had created.
