And it was Ireland that emerged victorious after a hard-fought battle against confident UAE. They won by two wickets with four balls remaining. After this Group B fixture encounter, Ireland consolidates its third position in Group B of Points Table.

On February 26, the two Asian sides that will play each other are – 1996 World Champions, Sri Lankan side while on the other side is World Cup veterans Bangladesh at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Both the sides have won their Group A match against Afghanistan but the difference has been their style in winning. While Bangladesh registered comfortable victory by 105 runs, but Sri Lanka were made to fight hard by Afghans for sole win. Sri Lanka that are perceived one of the title favourites will have to justify the tag with maiden convincing win in ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.
